Campus Facilities

Staff who can work remotely remain doing so while a phased return to working on our campuses is underway.  Moving back to campus is a very complex undertaking and will take place in a carefully managed way. Students and staff will be given more detailed information by their Directorate, College or School.

Unauthorised access to any building sited on our campuses, or any other Swansea University property or facility, including all research labs, is not permitted.  Access must continue to be appropriately authorised.  See the Building Access information in the Staff & Staff Managers and Postgraduate Students Q&As for the process and authorisation form.

• Taliesin, the Great Hall and the Egypt Centre are closed until further notice 

We are shaping our delivery to ensure that all students joining us in 2021/22 – will be taught, can study, and experience student life in a safe and welcoming environment. As you will appreciate, it is impossible to provide exact information so many months ahead in a changing situation, but you can be assured that:   

• All programmes of study will be delivered safely. If appropriate this will entail a combination of online and face to face teaching.
• If necessary for safety, face to face teaching will be delivered in a blended format, avoiding large lectures.
• We will deliver online enrolment, induction and a welcome week in September.
• University accommodation will be available as normal with appropriate social distancing measures in place. For more information on accommodation in Swansea, please visit the Accommodation webpages.
• We will assist and support International students, should the UK have quarantine controls in place at the time of their arrival.

We will continue to provide staff, current and prospective students with regular updates.

Following the Government restrictions announced on 23 March, event organisers should cancel face-to-face events.
