The BA Film and Visual Culture has been specifically designed to take advantage of the portfolio of modules and expertise across the School of Communication and Culture disciplines to deliver an undergraduate programme which will embrace a range of aspects of visual culture and film.
The programme will offer a combination of theory and practice with three pillars: Film, Visual Culture and Practice. Study at least one module from all three pillars at each level of the programme with the flexibility to choose your own specialism.

You will have the chance to explore film analysis, social media cultures, video and film production, writing for radio and screen, contemporary film and television, language and literature in film and video gaming, creative media and more, learning from experienced industry professionals and leading academics.
A year in industry or work placement will give you first-hand experience, and you will have the option of studying a year abroad.
