Classical Studies approaches the subject of Greco-Roman antiquity from the multiple perspectives of different interrelated disciplines, studying literatures, languages, cultures, and thought. A unique feature of the Swansea BA in Classical Studies will lie in its structure. A portfolio of modules which will reflect the most recent research will ensure the programme evolves and represents the latest thinking in the discipline. Students will have opportunities to pursue language study, from scratch to advanced level, and this will attract those who have not had the opportunity to study the languages before as well as those with various levels of prior experience. All students of Classical Studies, including those who take one or both languages, will have the opportunity in their second or final year to teach pupils at local schools as part of a credit-bearing module.
